Malayan tapir

Tapirus indicus

With its long snout, little peg teeth and beady eyes, the tapir really is a curious-looking creature. Although people often think that tapirs resemble pigs or elephants, their closest living relatives are in fact horses and rhinos. Though, much like an elephant, the tapir can use its nose as a snorkel while swimming.
